About Starla Photography

The Name:

Starla Photography is named in dedication to our family's current cats. Star the baby in the family, who is a light colored calico. And Lila, our female Garfield with a sassy attitude.

The Photographers:

Katy:
I fell in love with photography by accident. My father bought me a Wacom tablet and a Mac computer when I turned twelve. Then that lead to a love of looking at, and making digital paintings. I started taking photos when I was about 15, and slowly started to build my skills and love for photography by making my friends model for me. I love taking artistic photos and have many ideas I wish to produce.
I'm not just a photographer but an artist of many media. I always try to show the truth in my pictures, as to how beautiful a person, a place, or product is. And I believe photography is the best way to show that beautiful truth.

Ann:
Mother of Katy, and avid learner of photography, she has a lot of passion and a kind loving disposition. She was inspired to become involved with photography, as well as pursue other creative activities through Katy and her art career.
